Vaprio D'Anna Middle School

The new middle school in Vaprio d'Adda was designed as a multipurpose cultural center, open to the public and capable of hosting a variety of activities. The building is spread over two floors, with the ground floor dedicated to special activities and common areas, such as the auditorium, library, and gym, while the upper floor houses classrooms and laboratories.

The auditorium, with a seating capacity of 160, is equipped with dressing rooms for the artists and storage spaces for scenery, transforming it into a fully-fledged theater space. The gym, sized in accordance with CONI regulations, is accessible from both inside and outside the building, allowing its use even outside of school hours.

A large central green courtyard provides natural light to all areas of the school, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The school project was developed following the principles of eco-sustainable construction, aiming to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Solutions such as the use of eco-friendly materials, the installation of a photovoltaic system for electricity generation, and the adoption of rainwater harvesting systems were adopted.

An eco-sustainable middle school, conceived as a cultural center open to the community, with flexible, bright spaces that foster learning and knowledge sharing.

The school was also designed to ensure universal accessibility, with the installation of ramps and an elevator. Furthermore, special attention was paid to safety, with the implementation of a video surveillance system, an intrusion detection system, and a fire detection system.

The new middle school in Vaprio d'Adda represents an example of modern and sustainable architecture, designed to meet the needs of the community and offer functional and safe spaces for education and culture.
